Te-aro Estate Wines
Southern Soul of the Barossa
THE VINE
Te-aro Estate is located at Williamstown, in the southern foothills of the internationally famous Barossa Valley. In 1919, our family planted the first Shiraz vines along with a rare clone of Semillon. Grapes from these historic vines are still hand pruned and hand picked today, complimenting the fruit from our more youthful plantings.
We practice 'family viticulture', a blend of modern and traditional techniques. Our sustainable farming approach, minimal irrigation and specialised pruning methods produce unique Barossa wine styles.
THE WINE
Blessed with gentle slopes, a variety of soil types and a slightly cooler climate than the Barossa Valley floor, at Te-aro Estate the ripening process is slower and the fruit more intensely flavoured.
Through careful fruit handling and maturation in French and American oak barrels we produce 100% estate grown, boutique wines which reflect our proud heritage. As the custodianship of Te-aro Estate changes to the fourth generation of the Fromm family we invite you to share with us the excitement as we continue the journey, started nearly a century ago.
